Ofsted Inspection 2026: We’re pleased that Ofsted has recognised the strong progress being made across Christ the King. The school met the ‘Expected Standard’ in early years, behaviour and attendance, personal development and wellbeing, inclusion and leadership, reflecting the work of a high-performing school rooted in values of love, respect and care. Pupils themselves describe the school as a kind place, which we are especially proud of.

The report also highlights improvements in teaching, curriculum and support for pupils, which are already having a positive impact, alongside the safe and calm environment we have worked hard to create.

We know there is more to do, and we are focused on continuing to strengthen provision so that all pupils benefit fully from the high standards we expect, while continuing to nurture confident, respectful and resilient young people.

We know families want a clear picture of our journey. Although our school has since re‑opened within a multi‑academy trust (March 2023) and now has a new Unique Reference Number (URN), we’re sharing our previous Ofsted reports from the predecessor school because it shows the improvement trajectory the community has achieved (moving from Inadequate and Requires Improvement to now meeting the "Expected Standard" in most areas).

When a school becomes a new academy with a new URN, Ofsted treats it as a new school for inspection purposes. That means the predecessor school’s judgements don’t transfer to the new school’s page.  You also won’t see an Ofsted rating on our Get Information About Schools (GIAS) entry, because the predecessor report is attached to the former school, and since late 2024, GIAS no longer displays Ofsted ratings fields - it simply links out to Ofsted reports.
