Parent Staff Association (PSA)
Every member of our school family plays an important role in helping our children to thrive. Christ the King PSA allows for parents, carers and extended family members to become involved in the life of the school through fundraising, events and spreading positive news and information for the school.
If you would like to become involved in our PSA, please contact the main school office. There is no role too small and we greatly appreciate any time you might be able to offer in support of our school.
About us...
Our PSA is currently run by Mrs Short and Miss Patsy. We are dedicated to organising events that enable our school to gather as a community and celebrate seasonal events across the year, all the while raising money for our pupils. All the money that we raise is 'ring-fenced' from the school budget and is used to purchase items and equipment that will benefit our children but might not be a priority in the school budget. Previously, this has included buying books for the school library, small playground equipment (such as balls and hoops) and treats for every child (such as ice-lollies at the end of summer term).
Now though we have out sights set on a much more ambitious project! Listening to the views of the children, they've told us that they want more to do at break and lunch times, but that balls and hoops are too easily lost and broken. So we are saving up to get some playground fitness equipment. This is a very ambitious project, with the full set the children had their eyes on totaling whopping £7000! Based on previous earnings, we think this might take a bit too long to accomplish so have decided to aim for one of the smaller sets, this means we still need to raise over £3000 though.
Fundraising and organising events is great fun, and with a hive mind would be so much more successful. Perhaps you have a background in marketing and promotion, or know some key contacts, or simply want to be part of a team that has the interests of our children at the heart? If so, please consider joining our PSA: Mrs Short and Miss Patsy would be delighted to welcome you on board!
