Absence & Illness
If your child is absent from school due to illness, please ensure you inform the school office by 9am. If we have not heard from you by this, time we will attempt to contact you.

If your child is missing time at school due to a medical appointment, please inform the school office in advance of the appointment, providing a copy of the appointment letter or message alongside this. We encourage parents to seek appointments outside of school hours whenever possible; routine dental appointments/check-ups during term-time will not be authorised.
Requests for absence for any other exceptional circumstance are at the discretion of the headteacher and should be requested giving as much advance notice as possible. School will not provide home learning for children being taken out of school for exceptional circumstances, be this unauthorised or unauthorised, except in very special circumstances.
All absence requests, medical or other exceptional circumstances, should be made using the form below and a hard copy returned to the school office with any supporting documents (i.e. appointment letters). Hard copies of this form are available on request from the school office.
