Admissions
Christ the King Catholic Primary School, within the Diocese of Clifton, serves the
parish of Christ the King, Amesbury.
The majority of our pupils live within Amesbury, although we also have some pupils from the villages and areas beyond the town. We are proud to provide a robust mainstream curriculum for pupils of all faiths and none, whilst our SEN Resource Base provides a bespoke curriculum for SEN children in the South of Wiltshire. The application process for our Resource Base is separate to our mainstream school, and is managed by the SEN team in Wiltshire LA.
Applying to the main school at Christ the King School does not in any way mean a future place in the Resource Base is more likely to be allocated to your child. Please contact us if you would like more information about this.
The governing body, acting in accordance with the Code of Practice and the Clifton Diocesan Policy Statement, is responsible for the admission of pupils.
Applications for a place at Christ the King must be made using the Primary Common Application Form. This form is available in paper form but parents are advised to apply online direct to Wiltshire County Council at https://parentportal.wiltshire.gov.uk/web/portal/pages/parents/admissions
As a Catholic school we also request that parents/carers complete the school supplementary form . This form should be returned to school along with any relevant evidence such as baptismal certificates.
The deadline for applications for the Reception class is displayed around the school and in the Admissions link on the school website.
