Cherry Class

A very warm welcome to Cherry Class.

We support and teach students, with an age range from EYFS (4) to Year 2 (6).

Our unit specialises in Speech and Language. Our vision is to create a bespoke approach to education which blends the best features of mainstream with the unique features of specialist provision, providing a sensory and nurturing SEN unit where students thrive. The unit will enable the delivery of a personalised, needs led core curriculum, underpinned by specialist teaching approaches, via their Individual Learning Plans. We try to look for opportunities where your child can have time in age aprropraite year groups across the school day. We hope to send your child home excited to share their day with you.

We had a really good start to the year, with all our children settling into school life, happily and calmly. Our older students are wonderful ‘role models’ to the reception students. I feel there is a really positive atmosphere to our class.

Here is some information to outline what your children will be learning this term in all the different curriculum areas.  Do encourage your child to tell you about what they have been learning at school – it really helps the children to secure their learning when they discuss it with others.
